A guy got shot with an arrow in the first segment, but I fell asleep anyway.

Speaking of mayors of Cincinnati, it might show up in someplace like LL or J! that their current mayor, Aftab Pureval, had to give up his claim to any future Tibetan nobility or monarchy should the heirs to the former Tibetan government ever be reinstated before he ran for Congress in 2018. For all the years that he rode the same school bus as me, I didn't know about his potential claim or that his parents were exiled members of government until probably 9th grade or so.

Is there no J!6 today?
I had a dream that I was asleep and then I woke up and Jeopardy! was on.

Quick question on Thursday's (5/18) Wheel of Fortune episode: Contestant Cesar won $26,398 in cash and prizes despite only spinning once (he got a tossup and cashed in on the Express in the Prize Puzzle round). Is that a record?

For those of you who wonder if the devil keeps his deals, today we wish a happy 100th birthday to Henry Kissinger.

If his deal means he gets the years he took from others' lives, he's going to live a very, very long time indeed.opusthepenguin wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 10:05 am For those of you who wonder if the devil keeps his deals, today we wish a happy 100th birthday to Henry Kissinger.

The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

Come on. The devil's not that green of a negotiator. There's probably a conversion factor. One year for every thousand or something. Still, it's fair to say the devil got taken for a ride on this one.alietr wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 11:49 amIf his deal means he gets the years he took from others' lives, he's going to live a very, very long time indeed.opusthepenguin wrote: ↑Sat May 27, 2023 10:05 am For those of you who wonder if the devil keeps his deals, today we wish a happy 100th birthday to Henry Kissinger.

Interesting. I recognized roughly 2/3, but could only name 1/3.LucarioSnooperVixey wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 6:45 pm Just for fun:

Re: Reretaken Down
I know it's been posted before, but I can't recall enough details. I'm looking for the game where every clue had some variant of the same word or name in it. I think it was put together by Steven Dorfman? More than one of you knows what I'm talking about, right? Help a penguin out?
And if there's video somewhere, I'd love to watch it.

That's the one! I was telling my wife about the legendary Steve Dorfman and couldn't remember the details on this tour de force. I forgot about the archive's advanced search feature which lets me find "Dorfman" in the clue comments. Thank you.MarkBarrett wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 4:49 pmThis one? https://j-archive.com/showgameresponses ... me_id=5019opusthepenguin wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2023 4:12 pm I know it's been posted before, but I can't recall enough details.
