12 voters and I was the first perfecto? Wow!

I think that's three straight weeks of perfect FJ, have to go back to see my last miss.

ETE: yup, 3 weeks. Last miss was Voight/ Jolie father/ daughter Oscar. So, 17 straight!

Typo on Joshua Chamberlain, BTW. (After it's fixed, a moderator may tidy up by eliminating this!) :D

Thanks Paucle,

I copied from the archive, so I was able to fix it there as well. If I had solved the Friday FJ clue then I would not have used Gettysburg since I missed that one. I figured it was a good one to remember since the clue had two nice pieces of information with the names.

After I fixed the name I then was curious about Joshua Chamberlain appearing previously. The only archive hit went back to 1992 and had a TOC player who now has a different name and a challenger with a name that matches a TOC winner: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=2964

Not a good week ...

Not surprising on the Civil War clam, but was expecting to get way more on Movies on the Map than I did (I think I got no more than 1, if that). Got "perestroika" and "glasnost" mixed up.

Ugh. not a good week. Caught in the Benedict Arnold trap (even though I was certain he wasn't executed, I couldn't come up with anything else.) Missed the landlocked TOM in Friday's, said Peru to say something, but wasn't confident. Ah, well, next week will be better, right?

I used to, too, but now I just remember that "perestroika" and "restructuring" have the same # of syllables -- and I know that "glasnost" means "openness". :)

Started off well. Kinda surprised that "Gettysburg" is as low as it is.

Another Benedict Arnold misser, and don't associate Barbra Streisand with songwriting.

 :D  :( :D Thought of Andre, but felt it too obscure for FJ. Blanked on O'Keefe's state. Will someone please explain to me Barbara Streisand's appeal?
:D :D :( No chance with Robert Altman.

The Dear Wife outguessed me on the Cheshire Cat and Streisand. (Kind of ironic, as I felt so smug about earlier getting the Lewis Carroll/photographer clue.)

Major Andre is a perfect example of why you should put something down, no matter how unsure you are about it, because something at least has a shot whereas nothing has no shot.

Only three answers came to me in the time allotted, and I was able to completely eliminate two of them. As others have stated, Major Andre seemed like it was too hard for FJ (except for perhaps TofC day two FJ), but knowing Hale was 177something and Arnold died in exile, I had nothing else to go with.

You're talking to someone who isn't here and wouldn't've listened anyway. But you are absolutely correct.

I've never heard of Major Andre, Cheshire Cat was an instaget, had no idea that O'Keeffe was associated with New Mexico, Streisand is my go-to answer for a singer who has won an acting Oscar, and I pulled out Bolivia with a few seconds to spare.

NHO Little Round Top (but I almost guessed Gettysburg anyway), lost the perestroika/glasnost coin flip, and NHO that movie either.

For the season:
FJ: 16-4
Extras: 7-5
Longest FJ winning streak: 7 (active 6)
Longest FJ losing streak: 1
5/5:1
4/5:2
3/5:1
2/5:0
1/5:0
0/5:0

Like Paucle, also off to a good start this year. But the FJs have seemed fairly simple so far, the ones I've missed have been things I could have known, it just missed my strong areas. None of them have been ones it would have been impossible for me to know.

The only time I've ever heard andre mentioned was on a Brady Bunch episode, so maybe that's why he's hanging back in the poll. Streisand was a guess, did not know she wrote music. I was able to figure out they wanted a landlocked country and vaguely remembered the bit about Bolivia losing their seaport. The clue was somewhat confusing, especially if you are under the lights.

Gettysburg was instant, the russian word was a reasonable guess that worked. I'd heard of the movie, but never would have gotten it, even if I'd noticed the categoy was looking for movies with place names in the title. Crying smilie for it costing me my first ever 8/8.
