Mark hasn’t learned from his mistakes from The Chase. In the GSN version, Brooke asked Pule cheese in the Final Chase. Mark missed it and one of the contestants knew it and pushed him back. How I remember this? Well, “the cheese stands alone.”
There was something of an error on Friday's show. The question asked in what country was Beethoven born, and they gave the answer as Germany...but Beethoven was born in 1770, a full 100+ years before the country of Germany came into existence. At the time of his birth, what we know as Germany was a group of 39 sovereign states. If you look at Beethoven's wikipedia page, it shows him as born in "Bonn" - not Germany - because in 1770 Bonn was part of the Archdiocese of Cologne. This question was, at best, poorly worded and I wouldn't be surprised if it confused a contestant enough to throw them off of the right answer. While "Germany" was fairly excepted as a correct answer, given that Bonn is now a city in Germany, the question should have indicated that they were asking for the modern day country, i.e., "Ludwig von Beethoven was born in 1770 in a city that is now part of what country?"

I've been underwhelmed by The Beast so far. And it's not just the Americanisms that I would expect to be more difficult for him.
Yeah congrats to Kelly, but on her first episode The Beast completely stunk up the final round.
Funnily enough, tonight’s “Daytime Jeopardy!” rerun on WABC was ToC Quarterfinal game 5, which asked “Trooping the Colour”. Just after I watched the Master Minds episode, “Trooping the Colour” was being asked on J!. Strange coincidence.
Now we know it has stumped four ToCers plus another J! champ.

curious whether any others here knew it. it rang zero bells for me.
Jeannette Power and Aquarium appeared as a clue on J! last week was a question on tonight’s Master Minds.
Also in final round on the most populous city in Florida question, I expected both to neg with Miami. However, the contestant said Tallahassee and Muffy said Orlando.

That was the hardest final four set I can remember. Carlos got screwed on that one. I got skunked. Well done, Muffy.
And Carlos, if you're going to tell us that you weren't an Army brat, you could have at least told us why you went to 22 different schools growing up.
2/4 for me taking an educated guess on the Florida city that size = population and blindly guessing a French artist when not feeling it was the time for Manet or Monet.
Tax day - no chance
German - not even with multiple guess

3/4 for me. Missing the tax date. I may have known that at one time.
I know the fact about Jacksonville (and it's not even close, Jax being more than twice the population of Miami)
Hey, Ryan, a question ... my mom seems to think that you guys have earpieces during the first round and get fed some of the facts. I told her, maybe, but I doubt i, as they're pretty much just that smart regardless. Any insights?
I always wonder how does Brooke know who might have something interesting to say about a particular question. Maybe the players press a button or something to indicate they have something to add and she can see who wants to talk and then call on someone?

thank you for the kind assumption! they encourage us to provide whatever additional info we can provide on our own... but they do supply us with additional relevant info if what we got ain't much.
