J3: Both I and Whisper hear Grünberg, which is the German name for Zielona Góra — I presume in '86 it would have been rendered onscreen without the umlaut.

Thanks all around for Buellton, Grunberg and the Pac-Man YT. Clues fixed.

- Very well-played J! round.
- The tape cut out in spots in DJ. All I was missing was half of one incorrect response on DJ11.

FJ: Is this correct as worded, or was the clue missing the word "gospel"?

Like the non-letter Y one I entered it's an instaget. FAIRY TALES is a good category for me and then when it turns into movies? Yes, please.

Paul was Jewish, and the first non-wiki source I found indicates that James and Jude were likely Jesus' brothers. The author of Hebrews is unknown. The clue seems ok as written.
Luke was a physician by training, and, in Colossians 4, he’s included among Paul’s Gentile colleagues, which means he’s most likely the only Gentile author in the New Testament.

There's a chance I heard sibilance on Johnny pronouncing Christine's name, so I'd say I'm about 99% sure her name is "Hall" and not "Halls".

J23: Zing!

DJ17: An audience member allegedly shouted out the correct response after Jim had signaled, and Jim was deducted points even though he was not given an opportunity to respond. I am unsure of the specific rules the show played under in 1985 that might deal with that case, but I currently show Jim as having been credited with an incorrect response and a note in the response explaining.

I went with LaRue as in an article about badass librarians on J!, someone mentioned her in the comments with that surname spelling although the show had all caps. Did J! do lower case in S4? The game recording began with Cindy's "originally from..." and Alex called her a librarian at chat time.

The FJ! clue seemed to be a gimme for Alex while he was surprised when it went 33% on the show. At least no one said Rommel.
Apologies for bumping this again (especially since I already commented on the clue), but you have McGovern’s job as governor, he was a senator. (Admittedly I can’t see the episode).

I'm really loath to change it off Roe, because the 1980s newspaper references were made specifically to collegiate golf, and his contestant interview said he was the Arizona amateur golf champion of 1984.

Thank you for Berroll, though.

Unfortunately, there were some intermittent tape cutouts between DJ2 and DJ7, and we're missing the clue for DJ3 (but we know the correct response!)

FJ - how was this a Triple Stumper?

And that brings us to game #8,000 (Mark is entering game #7,999 right now). Interestingly, the next game to get started (either by Mark tomorrow for the first-run game or by someone entering something from the backlog) puts us over the 90% mark.
