My least favorite kind of trivia is anything where you have to differentiate between Greek and Roman mythology, so I was glad to see both names accepted. I had them both, but it would have been a coin toss if I needed just one or the other.

I thought only of the Roman name. Helps to have a city by that name next door.

The Genesis error was one I saw coming as soon as the clue was revealed and at least it got rebounded.

Quite the game with all players 1/2 on wagering clues and each player having the lead at some point in the second half of the DJ! round.

The FJ! clue had me match Ken with the alternate correct response instead of matching the players with the right name.

Emily sure didn't study buzzer technique from the Holznagel book or other traditional resources.

Rachel is on the ever-growing SCC list with 15800 Coryat, 22800 total and just the missed DD2 costing her the match.

Ray was either real confident or oblivious to FJ wagering strategies.

Or after three studio days and 11 games in town, he's at the point of, "screw it".

I think he’s starting to show slight signs of wear. If he makes it through Friday, a nights sleep might help.

How could Ray have grown up with Gilbert and Sullivan as he claimed last week and not know HMS Pinafore?

Ray had to go hard to lock out Rachel, so at that point, screw it - might as well go all in

He got it right as Ken called time on him.

Alternate universe #1: Rachel gets the bradycardia DD correct. She was almost there but somehow either didn't have the info in her head or the lights got to her.

Alternate universe #2: Ray doesn't get FJ. (I didn't, though it was a duh on reveal. Frickin' rosy-fingered dawn.)

Alternate universe #3: Emily DOES get FJ.

In any of these universes, Ray does what no Jeopardy! champ has ever done. He loses game 10 [EDIT: change that to "loses game 11" or "wins exactly 10 games", reader's choice.]

Instead, the wave form collapses into a fourth universe in which none of those things happens and he ends up winning. I'm starting to think losing game 10 is impossible due to some undiscovered truth about particle physics.

Ok, rewind to the parts leading up to the end. Just wanted to get that out of the way.

I'll register my usual pointless protest at accepting last name only for a category called 3-NAMED WRITERS.

Never heard of Stockholm, Wisconsin. Like Emily I took the negbait (or suckerbait if you prefer) and figured "capital time in Wisconsin" had to lead to Madison. Madison of course is hardly a "village" and I don't think it's big on Swedish heritage (the actual TOM) so much as German. But sometimes those observations don't come together quickly enough when you've got such an enticing wrong response in easy reach.

Correctly pre-called only one of the DD categories, but the DD was in the box I would've picked first: STATE OF THE HEART for $1600. The other DJ DD category was my in-town alternate. I would've gone there, THE HOUSE OF POWER, after exhausting the bottom three rows of my preferred choice, THE COMEDY OF ERAS. But it was in the second row, so I wouldn't have uncovered it until exhausting most or all of the lower clues in every other category.

Rachel pretty clearly said "Commedia della arte" for DJ1 and I was worried she'd get smacked with a reversal. But either the judges didn't hear it that way or decided to treat it as a stutter. Or maybe it's permissible in Italian to expand the contraction?

My feeling about it is that the apostrophe is only there to elide consecutive a's, so pronouncing them both is okay if your glottis can handle it. My other feeling about it is that there are examples of apostrophes getting pronounced as schwas (I'm thinking mostly of Hebrew transliterations like b'nai), so I could give her that leeway too.

Or as we like to call it, 'Game 11'. ;)
